Kim's first design job 20 years ago focused on tracking and education software for patients. Healthcare has been her favorite design problem ever since, so she's looking forward to her new challenge at PatientsLikeMe: delivering great tools for patients while gathering data that improves medicine. Kim has spent 20 years as a consultant and in-house creative director. As VP Design & General Manager at Cooper, a widely respected consulting firm, Kim led an integrated practice of interaction, visual, and industrial designers and drove the development of the acclaimed Cooper U design curriculum. Kim is well known as a conference speaker and as the author of Designing for the Digital Age, a bestselling how-to book.
